Somehow this has downloaded to my computer. Any idea how to remove it. I am running Vista.

EDIT I see you posted in August with the xp antivrus,did you follow any advice,did you manage to clean your pc.
Malware bytes is your first whack a mole for this series of infections
It does not find all of them or all the fragments in most

update MBAM, scan put a check mark next to any bad stuff then click
REMOVE SELECTED- not to worry a backup will be made
Quarantine any hits- do not delete
also could you rt click on the avast ball and click update>programs (just in case)
then open avast and schedule a boot time scan
post both logs -well go from there
If timing is right and you have time download update and CLEAN with SuperANtiSpyware Quarantine any findings
post the log but please snip-edit out any cookie hits
We need to see th logs to try and idea which version of the infection you have and to see if there are any hitchhikers coming along for the ride

Isn’t avast detecting these nasties? Why people with avast is being infected? ???
These are not virus
Essentially they get you to click to install via social engineering
then initial package can be innocuous
and there are many variations
most are polymorphic random file names make working with a blacklist tough
A third party firewall is essential to help block these baddies
A host file really helps
a real time anti spyware app helps
HIPS
Script blocker (although not all use scripts)
IM, P2P discipline
run all the above and the chance of an infection getting through is greatly diminished
but if you click on the wrong thing…
Well, I don’t think an innocuous thing will have such consequences…
Antivirus should detect the very initial packages of these nasties, imho.
Webshield should avoid downloading, Standard Shield the program to be installed…
