How can I remove the cleanup section of the Smart Scan ?
Just a waste of time with the free version.
I do not have Cleanup component showing up as available scan in smart scan, but I do not have Cleanup component installed at all.
Cleanup compoent can be de-selected:
Menu>Settings>General>Troubleshooting>Add/Modify Components.
untick Cleanup.

I have done it and the cleanup section of my Smart Scan is now gone.
I also deleted Passwords.

When you install Avast, only install the components you actually use.
If you’re using the free version avoid any paid items if possible.
