Unless you've just arrived in 2009 on a time machine, you know that smoking isn't good for you. Did you know, that smoking isn't good for your computer, either? It's true, at least according to Apple. Two readers in different parts of the country claim that their Applecare warranties were voided due to secondhand smoke. Both readers appealed their cases up to the office of God Steve Jobs himself. Both lost.;D http://consumerist.com/5408885/smoking-near-apple-computers-creates-biohazard-voids-warranty
that’s quite funny
it’s a good thing I don’t smoke then…wait…I don’t have a mac either… ;D ;D
It is a bit of a weak/weird argument though…
If you had posted this on April 1st, it would have been even better ;D
Talk about trying to wriggle out of warranty, the worm turns and wriggles out of the Apple.
If you had posted this on April 1st, it would have been even betterI can do it again next year....... ;D
I can remember when, leaving health out of it, smoking at the computer was a serious concern, back when our primary I/O was via 5-1/4 floppies which could easily get scratched by small dust particles. These days, most of what’s vulnerable to dust and grit in the innards of the typical desktop is neatly sealed away from harm, like the HD.
