There is no application in the world that gives 100% detection.
There are things that avast detects while others don’t and visa versa.
That is why we recommend to use multiple applications.
avast, Mbam, McShield, CryptoPrevent.

It would not surprise me if avast would have detected it if you have PUP scanning enabled.
