Software Updater Hangs On Installing New Version Of Java

Avast free 2014 9.0.2018

Avast told me there was a new version of Java 32, I told the software updater to install it, now the updater is hung on “downloading” and “preparing”

Can anyone help me with this??

You could try to reset the SU database: open avast! → Settings → Tools → Software Updater Customize → Reset database now

Well, what I did was manually install the Java package, reset the database (like you suggested), and now the Updater has stopped saying it was “preparing”, and lists the java as up to date, thanks
