Hello,
I wiped my phone and sold it recently and I am constantly getting SMS messages about the sim card being changed. Is there a way to stop these messages or anything? It’s really starting to clog my quota.
If you go to antitheft you can clean the Sim list and let only the actual one.
How can he do that as he has sold the phone, it isn’t in his possession.
You = the owner.
That would require some contact by the old owner and some knowledge by the new owner, or detailed instructions by the old owner. So not exactly easy.
Well… Ok, not easy. Any other way to solve this mess? ???
I don’t know if this would be a feature/possibility as and when the remote access from a website. But currently not possible as the remote website isn’t up and running.
I would suggest that the old owner send an SMS to his old phone for the owner to try an explain the process of uninstalling it. He would also have to give the existing password, etc. or have them visit this forum for help.
The correct way would be to have the owner uninstall Anti-Theft.
However - you can send a SMS command to just turn off Anti-Theft. It’s listed in the manual and SMS command list.
