I can’t install it on my cell (Galaxy mini running Gingerbread 2.3.5). it keeps showing this error:
Parse error: There is a problem parsing the package.
any help?
Hi,
that means the downloaded application was corrupted. Something must be wrong with either your Internet connection (the better option) or with your device (probably the worse option). It might be an OS fault so you might try rebooting your device and trying again or doing a factory reset (which will erase all of your data). Hope it’s not a hardware error (faulty device memory).

thx Filip
but the installation of ver. 1282 orked just fine as the installation of the current ver. of AVG/Dr. Web !
if you can, could you please provide a direct d/l link to the apk file?
thx
minacross,
Did you uninstall AVG and Dr. Web prior to installing Avast?
If I understand correctly, the previous version of Avast worked fine on your phone, but the upgrade is not working?
Have you made any changes to your phone, including adding any apps., or upgrades to the phone by your provider?
yes, I never use 2 on-access scanners.
yes, samsung firemware upgrade. Now it’s Gingerbread 2.3.5
solved by redownloading from android market.
btw, is there any chance to get the .apk file for offline installation? thx
Not officially.
with rooted phone it’s quite easy…
