Hi there,

I’m a new user of avast! after using Norton for a while.
I’m positive about avast!, but have some questions I can’t seem to find in the forum.

  1. Is there a way to setup avast! that it automaticly (re)moves a virus when it found one? Now I have a popup and have to answer manualy.

  2. Is there a way to change the setup time for the antivir update’s?
    And what is the current frequency?

  3. Is there a dutch forum?

You can use Silent Mode and use answer NO.
Better control over infected files is only in PRO.

Update intervals are in 4 hour gaps. It checks for updates when you connect to internet and than every 4 hours.
It can be changed for now,but 4 hours is optimal value.
If you need instant updates than you should consider upgrading to PRO version (PUSH Update System).

I guess your last question was missed, sorry about that.

There’s not a separate Dutch forum (that I know of, anyway), sorry. But while this one’s “officially” English-language, you’ll find that our members are so wide-spread that language usually isn’t a problem. And (unless I’m confusing here with the forums over at Wilders) I’m certain that we have at least a couple of other Dutch members here.

So feel free to post in whatever language – if we can’t manage it, we’ll let you know as nicely as we can, and offer suggestions and help anyway.

To my knowledge their is no Dutch support forum. But if you need help in Dutch and you have a irc client, you can visit #idiotroom on Dalnet. If I’m there I sure will try to help you in Dutch.
