ok i just downloaded avast online i used the demo once…i dont like it and now i want to get rid of plz someone tell me how to get rid of it cuz there is no uninstall and i cant just delete the folder.
You do not install it correctly because it should be an entry for it in the Control Panel > Add/Remove programs…
- Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
- Boot
- Use Avast Uninstall for complete uninstallation (read http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_uninstall_util.html)
- Boot

As a relative novice in the world of pc’s (2002 I got one) I have tried quite a few Anti Virus programmes and the one you mention, and prefer, failed to find four Trojans on my system and a certain free programme did!
