Hi
Which will be the sources of samples that they have priority for the team of analysts of avast ?
I sent samples (117 samples) for virus@avast.com has 5 weeks and avast continues not detecting them.
Thanks

Chest > email > FTP server.
But the priority will be given to ITW viruses than other ones.
It’s a shame that detection is that low…
Hi Tech !
What it’s ITW ?
In-the-wild.
Very spread and active virus on the Internet.
Avast’s reaction time is getting better but still needs improvement
I’m sure Avast will improve on this issue
Al968
I do not believe that it improves…
6 weeks and avast nothing !
:'(
Infected files in the chest (send has 6 weeks for virus@avast.com and not detected yet by avast):
Shame!
Resend the files again. Maybe they skip the first time.
And wait more 6 weeks ?
Oh not, thanks !!!
I don’t understand the logic in that, ‘and wait another 6 weeks’ if you don’t resubmit them you might wait even longer. If the original submission didn’t get through or prioritised.
I go to try for another way:
MIRT ( Malware Incident Reporting and Termination )
http://www.castlecops.com/mirt
Perhaps it has priority in relation to the VirusTotal and the Jotti.
I go to test and to wait…
Finally
Today after the update of avast (VPS 767-1) 61 of the 117 malwares sent (remain 56) has 48 days is detected.
We go to wait…
I am testing the MIRT.
Too much… too much…
Resend them. Using third party website will not make Avast detect them. If you resend them you will have more possibility that Awil catch them.
