Greetings to all. MS updates keep showing SP3 for Office but I remember reading here that it causes problems and Google searches explain that old file types cannot be read after SP3 without registry alterations. I wonder… is SP3 Office absolutely necessary? Do I HAVE to update for security reasons or will there maybe be a later SP3 which works seamlessly with all files types? TIA and happy days to all.
Well, I personally haven’t had problems with SP3, but then again, after I install Office I always update it.
If I had to guess, I would say that there will not be a different SP3 released for office which will change the issues you were talking about.
Maybe SP4 if they develop one ???
