i’d like u to inform me if the immunization of spybot and the protection of spywareblaster conflict…i’d also appreciate if u could recommend me some gd antispywares that have resident protection with low footprint…
The immunization of Spybot sometimes (not always) seems to remove a small part of the SpywareBlaster immunization. I usually update Spybot first, then re-enable SpywareBlaster immunization if any has been disabled. This was happening often some time ago, but not as much recently.
it happens all the time to me…i have disabled spybots immunization but sometimes spywareblaster has disabled its resident and i have to re-enable it…do u know a gd antispyware program with no conflicts with spywareblaster that i can use than using spybot?
I have stopped using spybot s&d as I feel it isn’t keeping pace with adware/spyware, plus with two other on-demand anti-spyware, avg-as and adaware, I didn’t really need it. That way I have no worries about any possible interaction between s&d and spywareblaster.
Even s&d when you open the immunize it recognises if you have spywareblaster and basically says that spywareblaster is better.
Immunization of IE-SpyAd, Spybot, SpywareBlaster and Windows AdvancedCare will ‘conflict’ from time to time, one disabling the others items. Choose one, don’t worry that much 8)
Working with Hosts file seems to have speed impact on my system.
Am I right or am I wrong?
I think it’s ‘faster’ use the immunization than the hosts file.
Which are your experience?
Long hosts files will slow your computer because every time your computer looks for an IP number it first check the whole hosts file. Besides, immunization only uses kill bits on program identifiers of known evil activex modules so the real rubbish can’t get installed.
It is wise to use a 2nd antiSPYWARE program, since one program NEVER
detects all the "bad guys" . Therefore, I have the FREE version of
SUPERantispyware ( www.superantispyware.com ) , as well as AVG
Antispyware, on my computer .
