I would doubt it has a better detection than avast.
It pushes the pro version hardly imho. When you try to update. But it can be used for free (Google Pack).
Final dot? I see no reason for it with avast.

It was a sad day when they bought out PowerQuest’s Drive Image (merged with Ghost) and PartionMagic. I still have the last versions for both of those before the buy out.
I have Spyware Doctor paid version. It slows my computer down. It comes due next month and I will not be renewing it. I practice pretty safe browsing. The one time that a good site that I’ve gone to for years and am a BETA tester for there product, Band in a Box, got hack it was Avast that alerted me. SD never said a thing. The only malicious actions, other then tracking cookies, that it has picked up is Avast. We all know about SD attacking the Avast Temp folder. They acknowledge it happens but can’t fix it.
