what is this program?
I found it after installing ST. I check that it’s related to SP as I unistalled it and found that SP_RSSER.EXE is gone.
it uses too much memory guys? can I turn it off?
it’s ST realtime shield service module …
Some people have got this issue. I don’t know. I use a lot of time ST and never had got that problem.
Go to ST forums.
You have to decide why you went with SpywareTerminator, if it was because of the resident protection then it is a necessary use of system resources. However, there are some that will say the VM Memory value in Task Manager is a better indicator of use.
If you don’t feel the need for on-access (resident) anti-spyware protection you could use SuperAntiSpyware free which is on-demand only.
Memory is there to be used and currently memory prices are relatively cheap so it might be worth adding to your RAM. How much RAM do you have ?
512 MB running winxp pro sp2 :-[
That should be more than adequate (though I can’t see the usage in your image), but it would depend on number of other applications running. I have 1GB on XP Pro and rarely if ever worry about memory usage. Though I don’t have any really memory intensive applications, like video editing, etc.
Mina, the ST residents, from time to time, take a lot of resources.
Maybe you can test if the SpywareDoctor Starter Edition fit your needs.
Or, maybe, just disable the antivirus resident of ST, or all the residents, keeping only the on-demand scanner.
I don’t use AV of ST, maybe is the reason i haven’t got the issue.
i suggest you post on Spyware Terminator forums authors may answer You soon and help resolve/track the issue
