start page hijacked

recently my start page was hijacked. i ran avast virus complete, avast virus cleaner, adware, and once it reboots it goes back to the nasty web page instead of my home page. any answers. xp pro with p4 on cable thanks don

Hi,

  • install and Update Spybot & cwshredder

  • reboot in SafeMode (F8-Boot) and scan and fix with them

  • also enter Hijacker into the search above

  • if that doesn’t help, post a Logfile of HIJACKTHIS here: www.lurkhere.com
