Is there any other anti virus program you have installed newly in your computer?

Nothing, just avast

How about spyware program? Did you installed any spyware program? Or JUST only avast.

I have used ad aware for long time and also avast and never had any problem

Are you using the computer now? If yes try to pause the standard shield and see.

I already tried everything and nothing solve the problem. When I uninstall avast the computer runs well

. It starts freezen when start up and after a while I could work in the computer.
Is this mean that you freeze ONLY when you start up you computer?

Is the problem happen after you update avast from 4.7 to 4.8?

Yes, after a while it runs ok but itr take long time. It starts more than 2 weeks freezing just when I start up. This week I couldn’t login. In safe mode I unable all server including avast so after that avast didn’t work anymore and I uninstall it. Surprisinly the computer runs fine. I reinstall avast and the problem start again

Ok is this problem only happen when you update avast to 4.8? Are you using avast home editon or Pro?

It never happens before but I use avast for long time and I don’t remember exatly when it was updated for new version. I know that it happens sudenly. Everything was ok and haven’t done any changes.

Try using this few step and i hope this will help you.

1.Uninstall avast with this http://files.avast.com/files/eng/aswclear.exe

2.Download avast at here http://files.avast.com/iavs4pro/setupeng.exe

3.Install avast.

If the problem still occur than im sorry

Ok I will try
Thanks

Although rassel is correct, try to uninstall avast first from Control Panel.
Can you try if the latest beta version solves this?
Download the updater (http://files.avast.com/files/beta/aswbeta.exe) and run it or go here for more information.

The latest beta, not the latest official release.

Hi Tech
Please, could you send me the link to get more information about this version? As it is a executable file I would like to read about before download.
Thanks

Download the updater (http://files.avast.com/files/beta/aswbeta.exe) and run it or go here for more information.

I also got a similar problem. After trying different solutions I finally figured out my problem: A system file sens.dll is infected. I believe this infection is not detected before but will be detected after the upgrade of Avast. And since this is an important system service dll, Windows will not work properly without it. I guess Avast tries to block access to this file at system start up and then cause system hang.

My solution is to reboot to Safe Mode, manually delete this infected file, and recover it from Windows CD (expand.exe SENS.DL_ C:\Windows\System32\SENS.DLL).

I hope this can help.
