Still Waiting on my Refund, Avast???

https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=204364.0 this is from my other posted comment.

Avast, i’m still waiting on the refund you promised. but to date have not r’cev.

i'm thinking i've been very patient to this point in time. so i ask one more time, Avast why haven't you refunded the very promise you made for all the world wide web?

but funny thing while i was waiting on the refund you promised on Oct. 5, 2017 as you posted the very last comment you your selves posted on my one other post "https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=204364.0" then you erased some comments and then locked it down. then on Oct. 7, 2017 you again took out of my bank account another $51.99 ( STOLEN ) but your company returned the money to my account the $51.99 on Oct. 10,2017...... three days later. amazing. of course i had to shut my account down and reopened to a new account.

What company does this type of business? seriously, what kind of company steals money out of they’re customers Banking Accounts? this is very scary when you allow companies access to your accounts, your trusting in them to do the right thing.

                          i've been extremely patient,

Forwarded to Avast. Let’s see if that helps.

I think you need to check the old topic, especially the last post by moroni.

David, thank you i’ve read it several times…

Bob, thank you, and we shall see?

… i believe that Avast’s right hand doesn’t know what their left hand is doing. you see, just two days after the last comment was made by moroni, they took another yearly fee out of my bank account, then three days later avast put it back in my account. so undoubtedly they believe they had paid me back? but for the life of me, can’t believe this was done accidentally. any way if someone at avast didn’t know that on the Oct. 7, 2017 the fee was taken from my banking account, then something is very wrong here. cause someone damn sure knew it, that’s why it was put back, then had it look like i was reimbursed. but amazing i was still out the other fees i was charged for in the first place. as you’ll see i was promised to be paid back for both charges. an i still wait to be paid the two charges of $51.99 + $51.99 = $103.98. of course this cause me to lose another fee from my checking account of 5 N.S.F. charges, 5 x $29.00 = $149.98 which just freakin stinks. of course i don’t expect to be paid the banking fee, but if i’d only known about the double charge i would of transferred some money into my checking account, that’s still not right, though. oh well, we live, we learn or we die broke.

I must stress before you continue. I am NOT an Avast! employee. My opinions do not reflect Avast!'s opinions. They are my own.

The professional side of me says wtf.

The adult-child in me right now is thinking: “Dudes been spamming his ticket demanding a refund. Not knowing that Avast! uses the FIFO queue setup. So every time he adds the word “bump” or “WHERE’S MY MONEY?!” he’s actually just hindering himself.”

@ C.o.A. ; Avast! has already spoken on this. They’re giving you the refund - yes. However only because you’re spamming the * out of them and being hateful (IMO - not the reason to give someone a refund. But it’s not my decision. Anyone willing to cave to a customer as moroni has described is spineless. I’d personally ban you, your accounts, emails addresses and IP’s from the system. But that’s just me.)

Let me highlight moroni’s quote here.

Hi Condition Of Anonymity, As our support stuff tried to explain you within the ticket, it seems that you registered twice for the same trial, although one of them your email address had a typo (an extra "u" in the last word of the username). I am afraid that for this reason you didn't receive any notification for the second order.
Avast! can't fix your typo's. Unfortunately, this isn't Star Trek where the computer can read your mind.
Please be aware that we do have indeed a 30-days refund policy, and since your purchases were made on February this year, when you contacted us requesting a refund on June it was already over what our refund policy states.
So Avast! has no obligation to assist you. It's not their problem. I would argue that you should keep a closer eye on charges to your bank (CC or Debit).
I am not doing so because I believe we have done something wrong or that needs to be rectified, but for you to stop the hate comments you're sending to our staff in your replies.
Huh, so C.o.A. is abusive... (You didn't bother denying it either)
We unfortunately cannot refund the fees your bank may have charged you.
Yeah, good luck with your bank on that one.

To highlight your comment

If only I knew I’d be double charged I would of transferred some money in chequing

Problem is you should’ve known given you would’ve had to implement your information twice. They way you worded your sentence (be it just having a different primary language) you make it seem as if you wouldn’t have had the funds to cover the first transaction anyways.

Anyways. End of my rant here. Again: I am NOT an Avast! employee. My opinions do not reflect Avast!'s opinions. They are my own.

TLDR: Sounds like you screwed up but won’t take the responsibility.

Michael , wow! thanks for the imput. so if this happen to you it would be O.K.? cool. so after the last comment from moroni avast remove more money from my account? but it would be O.K. to you, right? not being a smart arse, but just trying to figure out how far you'd allow this to happen before you would get upset. your avery patient man. but still thanks a bunch.

Way back in your first topic (Reply #1 and #2 you were given links to articles on how to Orders and Renewals - FAQs - payment instructions, ‘Renewals’ being the most important. If you don’t cancel your Auto Payment mandate then that instruction is still valid.

https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/24/#idt_0430

I’ve removed a lot of useless phrases and words.

To be clear, from whats been explained, and your lack of not denying it. It sounds like (as I’ve already mentioned) you screwed up the registration process. Why are you blaming Avast! for this? I don’t know why Avast! charged you for another year. Someone from their will have to speak on that. However, it sounds like you were given that money back. I remind you. Avast! has zero legal obligation to refund your initial 2 purchase given even at the time of complaint - you were still in violation of the 30 day limit.

Why have you complained so many months later about the double charge? I would be interested to see if both licenses were activated, not just the one.

Why did you shutdown your account (only to presumably make another one). It wouldn’t have helped anything - It just complicated the process.

David, yeah i know, but to renew only should happen in 12 months. from jan. to oct. is only 9 months, and why would avast put the money back with-in 3 days later with/out my knowledge, the way i found out was in nov. when the bank sent me my statement, and never got an e-mail from avast of receipt of payment for yearly subscription like any other subscriptions does?

Still everyone seems to be missing the point here, Moroni promised to give me a refund and then 2 days later another $51.99 was stolen from my banking account with/out any heads ups. and subscription wasn’t even due. now of course it was return 3 days later. i’m not having that warm and fuzzy feeling that some of you have over using Avast as a Security, i do get it though.

… so on top of lying and theft avast has no answers. thank you avast.

You wont get it. They charged my card when I stopped my auto renewal and have evidence that I did and confirmation from Avast that I would not be charged. They told me Autorenewal was turned even though I have evidence it wasn’t. They are liars and they do this all the time, we are not there only victims.

I have had to issue legal proceedings to get my money back. Including compensation its now $2220.00 they owe me.

;D

Good Luck jenasmy81

Let me please clarify your situation.

Avast do not sell any licenses directly to customers.

Especially we never charge any customer without their consent.

Your orders/renewals were processed by our distributor - company Digital River Ireland Ltd.

Core of your issue was that you signed-up for a TRIAL of our Avast Premier license - twice (one of your emails contained typo).

This license is free (full version of this product) for two months with an active auto-renewal feature.

You can cancel your renewal anytime you want.

Your issue with incorrect email address should been reported immediately to our support at support.avast.com once you did not receive confirmation email from our distributor.

You placed another trial license day after your first one. You received confirmation email for this order.

Both subscriptions remained valid so both licenses were charged for a renewal fee.

Avast offer a 30 days money back guarantee from the date of charge. This policy is unconditional so you can request your refund without any reason given.

Just to remind you that both of your licenses were already refunded back to the account used for the original purchase.

We are not responsible for any overdraft fees charged by your bank.
