Strange Avast icon in tray bar

Hello,

I have Avast Free Antivirus 5 installed and today when I started the computer its icon had changed and a triangle with an exclamation was on it (I’ve uploaded an image of it below). I’ve tried to update both the program and the virus database and it’s updated. What does the triangle means because all avast messages say everything is correct.

Hi jesfalso,

Normally this means that something is not as it should be. Can you open the GUI?

On the summary page, you should be able to see what it is that is causing it. (You can tell from the messages you will see, like the images)

Thansk Scott for your anwer.
It was the first think I looked before posting and I was everything OK in the summary. I was just printing the screen now for uploadeing an image of it while suddenly the icon has magically changed to its normal status. Indeed the only thing I have changed it’s the language I’m spanish and I had Avast in this language so I had just changed the language to English just to capture the screen and the icon has refreshed. I’ve changed back to Spanish and everything is OK. So maybe it was a problem that avast wasn’t able to refresh the icon by itself…

If it’s just as your computer is booting up…
I think the Avast Team are aware of this - & - Working On It! 8)

I’ve seen it just twice on my laptop :o
Just for a few seconds as the laptop boots up :frowning:
It seems to happen when Avast 5 starts up - Slightly ahead of my Firewall ::slight_smile:
As long as it’s ok once your computer is fully booted up … Wouldn’t Worry Too Much! :wink:
