Strange update bug

Hello everyone,

I recently upgraded to Avast 2015. The build number, according to the Avast update page is 2015.10.0.2208.

The strange part is that Avast always tells me that I still need to update and lists the current version as 2014.9.0.2208 and tells me a new version is available. I click update and I get the message that my version is already up to date.

I even re-installed Avast from scratch.

Has anyone else seen this?

No sir I did not. I didn’t know there was a removal tool.

My search shows that I can download the tool here: http://www.avast.com/en-us/uninstall-utility

Is this what you are referring to? If so, I will try it and post my results.
