streaming update problem again

Hi, I have still problems with the streaming update…again. The status is enabled and it is connected, but I don’t receive any streaming update. There is no date for the last streaming update, I se only — Yesterday all was working good and I received the updates, but today it doesn’t work again. Someone can help me?

I haven’t seen a streaming update since VPS 120301-1, although AvastUI shows connected. Before, it was working fine.

At least some people show CONNECTION ESTABLISHED, mine showed that the day I updated to v7 for a couple hrs and it has shown CONNECTION NOT ESTABLISHED since then (about a week now). (NO one seems to be able to answer why. (Yes, I did a clean install-twice!).

Someone says that there was an avast servers problem, but it should be solved 2 days ago. Unfortunatly I have problems still today.

Just got 14 streaming update files for current VPS 120302-0. Perhaps a cloud server is back online, or these were just released.

How do you know the number of update files for the current VPS? Is there a place where I can see it?

You can view def’s here C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\12030200_stream

For me on WinXP and having updated thru the AvastUI since Avast 4.8.x, it is C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\defs and there will be a xxxxxxxx_stream directory where the xx’s reflect the current VPS package. You path will vary depending on where Avast install directory resides, and this will vary depending on OS and whether you updated from a previous Avast version or clean install.

You’ll get them when there pushed out to the servers for your area, mine started coming in at 12.24am - 14 mins ago

I am still at VPS 120302-0, with the autoupdate not yet triggering (10 more minutes) to retrieve VPS 120302-1 which has been posted at http://www.avast.com/virus-update-history. I have two stream folders; 12030200_stream with 15 files, and 12030201_stream with 2 files. Nothing’s wrong. I’m just realizing how much housekeeping Avast does in the background. 8)

Edit: autoupdated to VPS 120302-1
12030200_stream folder deleted with update, and 12030201_stream folder now has 3 files. That’s enough posting for me on this, but I did find it interesting.
