Stupid file /Avast/x86/aswhook.dll crashes MobaXterm SSH session

I work remotely and I need to connect to the server for doing analysis. The server people told me to use MobaXterm for connecting and working on the HPC server.
I contacted the staff of MobaXterm because often, when I do alt+tab to change app, the SSH session crashes and terminates, which is absurdly annoying. I spent over 3 months with them trying to figure out how to fix it, and after all this time, and sending dozen of error logs, I was told that this stupid file, \Avast Software\Avast\x86\aswhook.dll, is causing MobaXterm not only to crash and terminate the SSH session, but several times to crash and terminate the entire app, screwing up my work.

Any way to fix this stupid behavior of Avast?

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

Have you tried adding either the site you are connecting to the exclusions (if an external web connection) or Add the app to Blocked & Allowed Apps ?

Avast Settings > General > Exceptions or Avast Settings > General > Blocked & Allowed Apps
