This w/e my Avast! Pro popped up a message telling me it had expired! No warning at all nor any invitation to renew came before this which was very annoying.
So I went to the site to subscribe all over again. There I was told I had probably received an email with a voucher code to thank me for being a loyal customer. No such email has ever arrived. Yes, I checked my Spam folder too
So I have paid the full price for just another year rather than remain at risk over a busy weekend online. Had I received my discount voucher for loyalty I would have signed up for 3 years as I find Avast! provides me with excellent online protection.
I do have to tell you that I dont find your customer support adequate on this occasion. You’ve let yourself down and caused me some grief
If your isp also has spam filtering at their end, it’s very possible that the e-mail was blocked before it reached you.
Is there a way to check your mail online? If so you should be able to configure spam filtering there. That is, if the mail server does have spam control. That is what I had to do.
Oh, i didn’t noticed this topic before. I had the same problem, but i’m still waiting for a reply before deciding anything. I got a new Register Key, but the previous one don’t change. Also it is showing some outdated information at the Main Program.
Please stick with your original topic, I have answered that, http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=28786.0.
I should have posted this in my earlier reply. The address that the coupon should come from is renewal@avast.com. This address may also have to be added to any spam filters.
Thanks for everyone’s helpful suggestions all of which I have now followed up with no success in finding the voucher. I also changed the email address on my account so perhaps you can send me a test message to all email addresses you have for me?
The emails from Share-it came through fine and registration went OK so I am definitely protected again. Strangely I got an update blue box message on start up this morning immediately followed by a red one telling me that I am no longer protected and must renew.
Anyone help me to understand that - and get rid of the red one?
I dont want to pay the full price for new subscription. What shall I try next?
I dont want to pay the full price for new subscription. What shall I try next?Try sending an email to the address oldman listed and explain your situation.
I suggest an email to sales@avast.com and explain the situation and/or post a link to this thread…
Thanks all of you. I have followed Tech’s advice and emailed sales. Hope that will get it sorted.
Will let youknow if anything of interest to others is suggested.
