I am a developer of an app called “Flash Keyboard” and it is recognized as suspicious app by Avast Mobile Security.
I tested several Android phones with Avast and the same messages are received, is that possible to remove our app from the suspected list of Avast’s?
I cannot upload our app on https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php since the size exceeds the maximum 10Mb, so I guess the best way is to give this SHA256:9d711a5dd346491882631faab6541b05fee480f4ee03c0ffa676fdcd14a7e690
The link you posted was about sending an malware to the relevant staff, however, I was to submit a file of my product which we can assure it is clean and safe, and I want it to be removed from the suspected list. Do you know the email of relevant department which may be able to do this?
actually what you see is that the APK was flagged as suspicious by our reputation service, which means it’s very very new and only a couple of people ever so it. This is most likely because you’re the only one who saw your development build. Your users should never see this message if you release the app to Play Store. Sometimes it might happen when distributing updates via some other channels, like Beta by Crashlytics.
If you’re annoyed by the message during development, just go to Avast Mobile Security / Settings / Protection / uncheck Low reputation apps.
Thanks Ondrej, actually we have received comments about this message popping up on users’ phones, so I guess I will still need to contact the support team to fix it ;D
