I’m using Avast Free with Win-7 x64. Every now and again I get a popup (screenshot attached), it tells me that no further action is required, and a little later it pops up again, several times. The Add the file to the scan exclusion list is unresponsive.
What does it really mean, and why can’t Avast do what it says its going to do - add to the exclusion list?
AdAware is an antivirus or at leat its antimalware run an AV module. You can not run 2 AV solutions at the same time.
[s]Anyways you can have your sys check: Follow this guide: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
Open a new topic and attach ( Do not copy/paste ) logs for Malwarebytes (MBAM), Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST), and aswMBR.exe here:

Added: No need to check for malware. Essexboy just answered below. You need to get rid of one antivirus program. AdAware or Avast, your choice. Me I 'll get rid of AdAware
That is adaware antivirus updating, this is one of the reasons why using two antivirus programmes is not recommended
replace AdAware with Malwarebytes
Thank you for clearing that up, but why can’t I just ignore it via the Add to exclusion list button?
AdAware is now a full AV …using Bitdefender engine
