Doesn’t avast say what is suspicious about the email ?
What is your email program ?
What is there in common about the emails ?
e.g. No subject, or lots of white space in the subject, they have attachments (if so what file type were the attachments), multiple emails being send at the same time, etc.
I won’t feel frustrated… probably you’ve changed the email Heuristic tab of settings into avast OR you’re infected OR everything is ok as avast is just saying you SUSPICIOUS and not INFECTED…
Did you run a full avast scanning?
Can you scan your computer with a-squared and ewido?
I did run a complete scan ( AV, Spyware and even,
Ewido ). My email program is OE 6. The one thing
in common, is that there is graphics (jpg) in the
emails, and I am on dial up, which forced me to
break down the (packets) to 60MB, resulting in
multiples of mail.
This is the reason… in help file you’ll find the answers: a lot of identical emails (with multiple ‘similar’ parts of a file) will be detected as suspicious: the scanner is interpreting you’re sending spam.
Just configure the advanced tab of Heuristic settings, enlarging the Mass count…
