I am suspicious that I may have picked up some sort of virus or spyware somewhere along the line. So, I am posting my Hijackthis log. Please take a look at it and tell me if there’s anything I should know.

Sorry about the triple posts but I needed to get 20 posts so I could change something in my signature about my system information which has changed from the last time I logged in.

Everything appears to be okay, except your java is out of date and you don’t have avast!.

Uninstall the old version of Java and install the latest here (uncheck the MSN toolbar at installation)

Then install avast!

You’ll can also try out these Anti-Spyware scanners.

MalwareByte’s Anti-Malware

and since you have Firefox, you will need the NoScript and AdBlock Plus add ons.

I also suggest SpywareBlaster 4.1

Adblock Plus could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 3.0.4 - Any updated versions?

What would have been handy would have been ‘why’ you are suspicious ?

AdBlock Plus (0.7.5.5) is compatible with FF 3.04 as I use both of them, ensure you have updated your add-ons. Where are you trying to download it from ?

Hmmm… Do you use ThreatFire?
