System Restore

I get the following message when trying to get to system restore:

System restore has been turned off by group policy. To turn on system restore, contact your domain administrator.

This has something to do with the Antivirus Now rogueware that is corrupting my computer.

I have followed all previous instructions to get rid of it to no avail. It won’t let my Malwarebytes run and I don’t think the Rkill is running properly either.

What operating system and Service Pack level are you running?

Are you running as Administrator or Limited User?

XP SP3

Administrator

Have you tried log on as administrator in Safe Mode and test whether System Restore will turn on?

Yes the administrator you created when you just install the windows

Is this XP Home?

I think your system is badly infected.

How do you change group policy on windows xp home?
