SysTray icon keeps "hiding"

Hi all,

My Avast Systray icon keeps hiding when not in use. I have checked the Systray Properties and checked “Always show”. However, every time I restart the 'puter, the setting doesn’t stay.

Is this a Microsoft dealywad (I believer that’s the technical term :stuck_out_tongue: ) or Avast? I’m using v.8.

I noticed in the registry (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run: "…AvastUI.exe /nogui).

Will editing the registry entry and deleting the “nogui” make any difference?

To check if it’s on delayed start or not…

Start>Run (Windows key + R) and type “services.msc”

Then find Avast Antivirus and see the startup type.

It’s “Started & Automatic”, and it’s Logon as, is “Local Service.”
