Like the title says, my tablet has recently been infected by the FBI Moneypak Virus. Although Avast mobile recognizes it as malicious webpage (it’s locked my browser), virus scan cannot find it. I do not know what steps I must take in order to rid the virus, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
While I’ve posted logs before on computers, I’ve never done so through a tablet. Is there a program that I should use for a tablet that would get you the logs? Or should I plug the infected tablet into my PC? (I do have autorun/autoplay turned off, if that would help prevent a spread).
Hmm, I don’t seem to get any responses in the other thread. Do you think I will be able to find help in this forum? Or would I be better off searching in another place?
do you have anything on that tablet that you need? … if not, sett it back to factory specc
have never seen a infected tablet so not sure it would work…
What I did was clear all browser history and cache. That seemed to do the trick, but I’m not sure it’s a long term solution. For the time being, it will work at least until you get a permanent solution. Hoped this helped!
You always could attach the Nexus 7 on PC and locate the malware files by yourself and delete it. The goal is to neutralize the malware.
Then you can install Malwarebytes Mobile and avast! Mobile AntiVirus and preform the device scan.
