Hi, I turn with Vista and have Avast Home Edition. Which exe file I have in the Task Scheduler to the overall scan to start automatically?

In all the time I have used avast! I have only ran the overall scan once on initial installation to verify the system was clean.

The resident protection is excellent reducing the need for the overall scan to maybe once a month that I do manually if I rememember.

There is a caveat in using ashQuick.exe, a) it is the most thorough of all the avast scans, b) with all unpackers available and c) it scans every file, even those not an immediate risk (archive files) and those not generally at risk of infection (.txt, .log files, etc.).

So scans can take a very long time.
