I mean the folder where archieves to be scanned are temporary extracted to. Can I change it? I need to do it because on c: too little space left and I want avast! to extract archieves to another logical drive.

Change the TEMP environment variable. Control Panel → System → Advanced → Environment Variables.
Thanks.
So, avast! doesn’t have its own setting for temp directory. It is bad.
Is it possible to follow your advice in win98SE? (I couldn’t find where environment variables are set in this OS). Will I have to edit registry?
Anyway, this will redirect all data which before should be placed in the “windows\temp” folder. Am I right? I think you’d better make this setting own for avast!

Under Win98, you can set it in c:\autoexec.bat
TEMP=<temp_path>
In addition:
TMP=<temp_path>
Try to write the path at the short (DOS) way (8 characters between each slash).
Vlk, don’t we have an avast4.ini file value for it? ;D
No, it’s really taken from the system variable (and cannot be overriden AFAIK).
