I get 9 fps 1%Lows in GTA 5 enhanced if I disable File Shield i get 50 fps more. I have tried making a exception but that don’t work.
How old is your PC? The game might be struggling to load data and have it scanned by Avast at the same time. Especially without an SSD and a slow CPU and memory.
Do you meet the minimum specs for the game? They are higher than for the legacy version.
I can’t advise this but with a wildcard it is possible to except the whole game folder from Avast.

Have you tried adding an exception for the whole GTA folder? Just to test if it fixes the dips.

It should work, if indeed File Shield is the culprit, and the problem is in that folder. It shouldn’t even be an issue in the first place.

There should be an backslash between Enhanced and the asterisk.
Maybe you wrote that. The forum seems to delete it when I type it also.

Then also add BattlEye folder to exceptions

I think GTA or some thing have been updated so now it has the expected performance
