Is there a test file I can down load to see if avast is working? Also is there a test “www” site I can go to to see if thats working too?

Note that these files are a test virus and not the real thing. Your system cannot be harmed by these test files.
You can download all eight and see for yourself the results. Not recommended to go to any www. website for testing as these could well be malicious.
