The avast! Mail Shield encountered a problem with the secure connection

Since my last update I am receiving an annoying popup every few minutes that says:

The avast! Mail Shield encountered a problem with the secure connection to your mail server.

When I click on the popup I get a screen to export a certificate, which I did, but now I don’t know what to do with it.

I am running Outlook 2013 connecting to an imap mail server using SSL on port 993.

Please help!

I read that, but it is only for Mozilla-based email clients (Thunderbird, SeaMonkey and Bat). I am running Outlook 2013
