I tend not to chase down single occurrences of a problem on my system, if it were to become a regular occurrence then it is worth the time in investigation.
Even a singe BSOD (which you might call catastrophic) I don’t bother with, as the time spent chasing your tail is very unproductive, if it becomes a regular occurrence, then the time spent in investigating and possibly resolving it is productive.
Just curious as in Windows Event Viewer i noticed this
The avast! Web Scanner service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s).
Not sure about sorting this issue. I looked through event viewer for a similar problem but could not find anything.
Perhaps for those interested you could provide some more information -
Windows Event Viewer, normally qualified as (local) from what I gather.
In which grouping of Error Records has the record registered? Perhaps, Antivirus group (appears as an avast log).
Is it a Warning or an Error or something else?
What is the exact wording on the record? Click the entry and you get a reading in Event Properties.
avast!Log Viewer - I only get entries in Notices, Warnings, and Errors.
Notices - so far only updates, include program where applicable, and VRDB generations.
I would have thought something in Warning or Errors perhaps entered as a differently put message.
Under Warnings and Errors, I have had no entries since early June, when i sorted an issue involving drive-by injection where I was trying out a few things. I would have thought Web Scanner service terminated unexpectedly would register an entry of some sort.
So possibly worth following up issue, but difficult to do without comparable examples.
I dont think you have a major problem here, as some of the other posts have already said. But I’m still surprised that this message should register in System records, where most references are to server, network adapter, network address, connection, and so on - but certainly possible.
There is usually more information provided in the event logs that can be followed up. I’ve added screen shots below - one that highlights a particular event where the event can be identified as 7035 and the other the event properties message, similar to the box that your Error mesage must have come from. In my case the event is just an Information message rather than an Error. Sorry, but I could not find an Error message similar to yours. Someone else may find a similar log entry.
For further information, you can take the event ID (such as 7035 in mine) and search for information in Start -->Help and Support. Just enter the number and search for it. You will have to sort through the knowledge base articles for the most appropriate reply, probably the first on the list.
If you do find an approriate answer, please reply post here. But as has already been said, for just one entry, probably nothing to worry about.
