"In the next few months, we'll be coming out with some extra products not included in the suite, such as online backup, password management, and identity protection," Vlcek said.

The most unusual feature that Avast will soon offer, however, is a personal VPN for both desktops and mobile. "It's a bit risky for us because we don't know how heavily people will be using it," Vlcek said. "But because of the insecurity of open, public Wi-Fi, where somebody can copy your session cookie and log on, we had to make people safer."
+160,000,000 (in name of avast! users)
Currently, I’m using proXPN, but I would love if avast! add this EXCELLENT and USE FULL feature.
Avast has plans to compete with more feature-heavy paid security suites, too. Users will soon be able to get online backup and password management solutions from Avast. The company has licensed Mozy to provide an Avast-branded online backup option, said Vlcek, with "no real changes" to Mozy's license or fees.
Now Mozy joing up! Hello... I have now 120 referrals using Mozy and it's being my online backup for years!
I was thinking on VPN (elsewhere) and now avast is going for it. I hope they allow browser connection like seems LogMeIn is going into. Very good the go for OpenVPN and SSL!
About avast definitions going to the cloud, another congratulation…
Pity that LastPass don’t enter in the package. Hope that Roboform improve their management in the company of avast.
Man, I’m proud to be here!
And it is my 57.000 post ;D
A complain about RoboForm policies…
[QUOTE=ellison64]Id like to know a little more about the roboform password manager and how it will be implemented/priced in AIS.Roboform ripped me off with selling lifetime licenses and then reneging on them.I wish avast would have dealt with a company that doesn’t rip many of its customers off ,but I do understand that as a program roboform is one of the top three.

Avast aims to make its technology more attractive to potential users compared to other freebie scanners from AVG, Avira and Microsoft through a variety of tactics. It wants to make its software speedy by avoiding any temptation to add search toolbars or other performance draggers. "Search toolbars would pump revenue in the short term but lose the community in the longer term," explained Steckler.
