Iam not able to install avast! Get following message:
The installer is unable to initialize early avast! self-defense with error 0x0000001f! Aborting
What to do ?

What exact version of avast?
Is (or was) there any other security software installed?
If so which one(s) and if you removed it, how exactly did you do it?

sorry, for my incomplete information.
The System is Windows-XP and there was a AVIRA free version installed.
The avira has been uninstalled over the system.
Henry
Remove both avira as well as avast completely.
Reboot.
Install avast.
Let us know if that solved the problem.
