Hi, all in the title really. just keeps opening several times a day. how can i stop it?

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
It might all be in the title, but not knowing exactly why/what these UI screens are about, It is hard to even hazard a guess ?
Whilst I don’t use Avast One, but the Avast Antivirus Free for Windows.
There was a period of time where people were getting Network Shield pop-ups for new connections, but there was meant to have been a fix for that.
What is the versions number of your Avast One program (current one for Avast Antivirus free is 25.3.xxxx) ?

The inface just opens up, it not performing ascan or anything. it’s like i’ve clicked it to open
We can’t see what is on your screen, so to make any suggestion we would need to see what you can see. A screenshot might help narrow down the possibilities.
It could be the Network Shield or Firewall displaying the UI, but that is just a guess.
Your image confirms you are on Avast One Free and not Avast Antivirus Free for Windows.
Whilst they are both free they have different components, more in Avast One (such as the free VPN), but less configurability in Avast One.
Not sure what the 1 Message in your screenshot is, it might be worth checking that and deleting it as that could be about not having run a Smart Scan.
Now I don’t know how (not using Avast One) open the Avast One Settings and switch off the Smart Scan function completely or set to Manual (and don’t run it).
