Think I got an MBR... is there any thing I can do?

About 5-6 days ago my laptop with Win 7 restarted over night. I went to reboot, and it took for ever… I then hit forefox to check my email, and it froze again . I figured I have a conflict, so I went o safe mode, and Selective start up eventually turn both start up and services, and it was still sluggish and firfox and now chrome where freezing. I then notice that Avast was either missing or corrupted. I then tried to reinstall Avast and then ran 2 scans. One in safe mode which should nothing, the others on another pc as that HD as an external which did show 3 Java viruses. I then went to turn on the Laptop and still nothing. I wen to recovery and did a basic recovery (no help) and a complete recovery and recovered a back image from last nov. That work but the system was buggy. I tried to update a few things and when I went restore it froze AGAIN. I then reset my drivers in Bios and nothing. I check to make sure that the DVD was 1st boot device, it was. I put in the recovery CD but the HD kept going first. and freeze at the STARTING WINDOWS screen. I then back to bios and made sure that the DVD was first but it did not give me the ability to change and thing in boot up. I asked the maker of the laptop Samsung for help they then gave a tutorial on how to reinstall Win 7. In that they said it said I need to make sure that Secure Boot in Bios was disabled. I go to biios to look for that and it is not even there. I have my data backed up from the same day this craziness started too happen. and I have an Image of my whole PC from nov. Not sure what to do now since the options I need to prep bios for to reinstall win 7 are no even available to me? Is this virus/malware in my bios as well, and if it is do i now have a $1200 paper wieght?

Bios will not let me boot up from anything else… The Boot order refuses to give me the option.

Can you reset the BIOS to default

tried that as well and still nothing. There is even a boot over ride in bios and it did nothing. I did manage to get Disc recovery up once… I got some pop ups with red "x"s in Japaneses I think. It did not want to do system restore, nor a repair. Since i back up my data and I have a PC image back from Nov I was going to do a factory reset. But SamSung told me I needed to prep certain things in Bios, and when i went to Bio to prep it those options where not even listed. The Laptop which is a 64 bit Win 7 btw is a little more than a year old and I do not beat it up that much since I use it for audio production. It mostly sits on my workstation at home.

Unless we can access the drive there is little I can do I am afraid

Understood, but if I where to flash Bios could I reinstall Win7?

You will need to ask Samsung for the BIOS reset disc as they tend to keep those hidden on their site
