“This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active.” now appears at the bottom of my outgoing emails with this new free version - 2014.9.0.2011.
not seeing the usual Active Protection > Mail Shield under Settings where you’d normally turn this off - and i need to turn it off.
am i missing something? any ideas?

You can remove the message from outgoing mail…
From the avastUI > Settings > Active Protection > Mail Shield > Settings (wrench iconl) > Behavior - General section > “Uncheck” Insert note into clean message (outgoing)
