Is Avast locking down the file during the defrag?

  • Also are you also making a virus scan at the same time?

please reboot in SafeMode, empty all your TEMP-folders & IE-Cache= Temp.Internet-files, then

  • do a diskcleanup & defrag (still in SafeMode)
  • do a complete scan with avast

sry but I am lost now for sure how do you get into safe mode and do all that stuff …

It is still in my Chest …do I just Delete it ???

@1) restart PC, and press F8 repeatedly while it’s booting, until you see a menue; choose “SafeMode” there…

open WindowsExplorer, rightclick your C: drive → properties, then choose
a) diskcleanup
b) Extras → defrag

Ok how do I delete the infected file though …just delete it out of my Chest… do this first right ???

After I do everything …how do I get it back in regular mode and do I do an Avast Scan in safe mode …((( Have not mastered installing the Fix though for the bug ))))
