On stackoverflow.com I’m reading a Question’s answer-thread, and someone in one of the answers has posted a link. Next to the link is a tick from Avast which when hovered over displays a message that the site is safe. The tick is blocking the text to the right of the link.
Letting you know so that:
You might be able to help me work around the problem at my end.
You might be able to fix the problem out at the source, e.g. allow the tick to be dismissed or something.
Edit 1:
Windows 7 SP1
Avast 10.4.2233
Firefox 42.0
If persistent it is a typical issue where one would use an extension like Nuke Anything Enhanced (firefox and Google Chrome)
to just get that element off until the page reloads. So the next time the warning will show, but you won’t have it when you do not wanna see it during that browser session with that page active in a tab. So a cosmetical page issue actually.
Thanks bob3160, that worked for me too: the issue is now resolved.
I did play around with the settings before coming to this forum to ask my question, but until you turned up I didn’t actually realise I could scroll down on the settings page, so I had only tested a fraction of the available settings, and that didn’t include the relevant one.
