Hi,
I’m running Avast 19.6.2383 in Windows 10 1903. I’m suprised I don’t see Thunderbird in the list of software monitored by Software Updater. Of course, Thunderbird is not configured as ignored in Software Updater. I’ve repaired Avast, but Thunderbird still not appears as monitored by Sofware Updater.
I’ve another Win 10 computer and Thunderbird appears in the Software Updater list.
Do you know how I can add Thunderbird in the list of sofware that can be updated by Avast?
Hi, reset the SU database.

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately after SU reset, Thunderbird still not appears in the list of monitored software.
Sorry to ask, but is TB installed…?
Yes TB is installed.
I’ve uninstalled and then reinstalled Thunderbird and it is now listed in SU.
Mysteries of computers!!!
OK, thanks for the feedback.
I think I’ve found the reason of the issue.
It seems TB was initially installed in my profile and now it is installed in the usual “C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird” where Avast can detect it.
BTW, does anybody know what is the list of softs supposed to be under controlf Avast Software Updater ?
I’ve been unable to find this list anywhere in Avast support website.
The only thing I’ve been able to find was on another forum:

Let’s hope someone from Avast can give us an actual list if it’s different.
Very short list…
Software Updater could be a very good tool in its principle, but is unfortunately too much limited in its actual scope.
It’s meant to keep the most used and most attacked programs updated.
Many other softwares are updated by other means like Microsoft Update, Microsoft Store.
