Thunderbird

Good Afternoon

I was wondering I use thunderbird for my regular mail and I use hotmail for my friends on MSN . My question is when I send a email from my regular email address to aperon using hotmail.com they don’t receive it but if you send a email from hotmail to my provider xxx@ica.net I do receive it. I tried to send to my hotmail account and did not receive it so than I send one to my xxx@ica.net it and I got it. So I was wondering if anybody might have notice this when they try it from there own provider with a Pop3 account. Is so why dose this happen any help on this would be great. I try to call them and email them but know help. Thanks for any help on it or is it just me.

Hotmail has been doing more and more to eliminate spam messages being sent to Hotmail users.

I have seen cases where messages being sent from an ISP to Hotmail users that contained a “from” address as though it came from a Hotmail account:

From: xxxxxx@hotmail.com

would just be thrown away by Hotmail and not delivered to any users on Hotmail … even though the messages would get delivered to those addressed outside Hotmail.

I eliminated this problem for my users by getting them to use the Webmail extensions on Thunderbird that allows them to receive and send mail on their Hotmail accounts directly from/to Hotmail without going through their ISP mail system.

However, this problem had nothing to do (that I have been able to detect) with avast or Thunderbird.

Thank you alanrf for your info I thought it was me, because my ISP is ica and my friend gave me there hotmail address so what I did is I email from Thunderbird I use xxx@ica.net to xx@hotmail.com it said it was sent but they told me they never got it. So I
