Can anyone give me the history of TLBassui.exe. I removed it yesterday using Avast Free edition. But it is back again. I don’t seem to be able to stop it from coming onto my machine and then need to remove it over and over again.

Your page is well thought out. I have used and still use most of the programs you feature. However, my question is more specific. Do you know anything about TLBassui.exe ? What it is? Where it came from? Who wrote it? How to prevent it?

Since you know in which file the virus is (TLBassui.exe) why don’t you submit the file to Jotti (http://virusscan.jotti.dhs.org/) so that you know exact name of the virus (with alternative names)? A simple google search of the result will probably give you all the info you need.
As Spyros said, google it, google is your friend, it returns 37 hits for TLBassui.exe
