To increase Avast!'s database

Oh, hello… I’m Pedru and I’m new here…

Well, while I was makin’ tests with another antiviruses, I’ve found a site that have a lot of virus’ informations! They’ve files of viruses in order and the Avast! Team could see those viruses and increase Avast!'s database…

Well, there it goes: hxxp://vx.netlux.org/vl.php

Be carefully to enter in this site… Some viruses/trojans there Avast! does not detect.

Posted in the International board.
Please, do not post twice the same

Hmm…?
In this case I appreciate his/her post here, as I only follow the german international board…!
Also I don’t think the devs follow threads in other languagues than english.
But the OP’s link should be changed from http to hxxp or similar.

But the answer is the same as it will be in English.
Inform them through the virus (at) avast (dot) com email, sending the link and the infected files.
No need to post twice or we’ll become crazy ;D

I said it to him in Portuguese.

I’ve just posted here because I know that the Avast Developers won’t see the Portuguese forum…

So, I’ve already changed the link…

Sure the answer would be the same, but we (english forum) would have never seen the link.

@Pedru: Thanks for changing the link…!

I agree in some cases it’s fine and useful to double post in both international and localized forums.

I think this will flood the forum… We can’t follow both threads simultaneously and the user will receive (or could receive) not homogeneous help. If he/she can’t write in English, I think it’s better using only the International board.
Double posting only double the help effort. My opinion.

We can't follow both threads simultaneously

nobody’s asking you to follow both threads, just an example: I got something to post in the French section that might interest the others on the Forums, my first post will be for those who don’t have any other choice but reading in French, because they don’t understand English, and my second post (if any…) will be intended to the others who read the forums in English by default. What’s the problem? this said I might do that in some rare, very rare cases where the info is worth. Of course I wouldn’t advise double posting a new thread, unless again, exceptionally important

I can’t… (and I don’t have to or intend to). I can just follow English, Spanish and Portuguese…
