I AM WRITING TO EXPRESS MY DISGUST AT THE TOTAL LACK OF EITHER RESPONSES OR SUPPORT TO MY EMAIL REQUESTS FOR A LICENSE NUMBER/KEY FOR AVAST PRO WHICH I PURCHASED IN 2006 FOLLOWING A COMPUTER CRASH OVER 2 WEEKS AGO. THE CRASH LEFT ME WITH NO PROGRAMS, SOFTWARE OR EMAILS (NO I DID NOT BACK THEM UP, SO NO SILLY COMMENTS PLEASE) AND ALTHOUGH I HAVE SENT 4 EMAILS SINCE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAS HAPPENED!!!
I HAVE CURRENTLY DOWNLOADED THE TRIAL VERSION OF PRO AS A NECESSITY BECAUSE SECURITY ON ANY COMPUTER IS PARAMOUNT THESE DAYS BUT THIS IS RAPIDLY COMING TO AN END AND I HAVE NO DESIRE TO PAY AVAST FOR A NEW PROGRAM WHEN THE OLD ONE STILL HAS A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TIME REMAINING.
I HOPE THAT ALL READERS OF THIS LETTER HAVE NOT HAD OR DO NOT HAVE ANY SIMILAR PROBLEMS BECAUSE IT WOULD SEEM THAT AVAST IS REALLY NOT INTERESTED!
I WILL BE AMAZED SHOULD THIS LETTER GAIN A RESPONSE FROM AVAST PERSONNEL AS NOTHING HAS PREVIOUSLY.
I REMAIN DISGUSTED!!!

My qeustion is, how did you contact our tech support team, exactly? By email? If so, which address did you use?
Also, I’d like to ask you to not use capital letters in your posts. While I understand you’re upset the capital-letter messages are very hard to read.

Hello Vik, nice to hear from someone at last!
My emails were sent to the following contact addresses in the hope that someone would reply.
Emails sent to; support@avast.com x 2 - to sales @avast.com x2 with a message to forward to technical support.
I cannot give any detailed information as it was all lost and no paperwork records were kept or are available from my credit card company, so apologies for being unable to assist.
Your help would now be much appreciated.
Dajoca, do you remember where did you buy avast? I mean, the link for the site.

Downloaded directly from the official avast website, sometime in the early part of 2006 from what i can remember!
I’m not completely sure about it, but my guess is that Vlk wanted to know what e-mail address did you use as the sender (I mean what e-mail address did you send it from, not to - so that he can try to look it up).
If you know which one was that - there’s certainly no need to post it here in public, you can send it to Vlk by e-mail or PM.
Have now sent 3 emails to Vik via his email address giving what little information I have and guess what, surprise, surprise - NO REPLIES!!!
My patience is wearing very thin and soon my trial Pro period will expire and then I will be off to AVG whose technical support is first rate, I know this because I contacted them following my computer crash and received a response within 2 minutes AND was given access to my license/key immediately!!!
That is what I call customer service and what I am sure everyone expects from a company these days!
SO, I am still waiting … and waiting … and waiting!!!
I can honestly say that I haven’t received ANY emails from you, none.
Maybe there’s some kind of connection problem?

Good experience indeed… the best speed I could receive using AVG five years ago was about two days… not that good support.
Two of the avast team members come here to help you and, for sure, I can send and receive email from both Vlk and Igor… are you sure you’re sending emails to the correct email address?
