Triple Core Processor

I was Wiping Vista off of someone’s machine to install XP for them and I noticed it had a AMD Triple core processor. Ive never heard of a triple core processor.

So what exactly is it? Is it a Special Chip design or just a quad core chip with a bad core?

Looks like a lot of the usual specs they provide. But it still doesnt answer my question if its just a faulty Quad-core sold as a triple core or if its its own unique design.

You’ve answered your own question, they had to do something with those faulty quads … :wink:
