Trojan-gen found during Avast Boot scan

I’m a newbie in using the Avast boot scan and need a little help. I downloaded Avast 4 and select to run a boot scan. Avast detected the win32:Trojan-gen. My difficulty is when I choose to Press 5 to Move to Chest, nothing happened. What do I need to do? Following is the info given on my computer (it’s still up on a different computer from the one I am now using). Thanks for your help!

Press Esc to bypass scanning
Report file: c:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\report\aswBoot.txt

I realized why it would not work when I tried #5 to Move the trojan to the Chest: I was using a wireless keyboard. I switched over to the keyboard on the laptop and Avast appears to be running now. Hopefully this will remove the viruses as there appears to be quite a number of them. Thank you for your patience!

Seems like you solved your own problem there good call, and welcome to the forum. You could also scan with MBAb and/or SAS to be on the safe side that you don’t have anymore malware on your pc.

This appears to be a good detection as the file name has been associated with malware, see http://www.systemlookup.com/search.php?type=filename&client=malwaresearch-ff&search=mdp.dll and http://www.prevx.com/filenames/X485079519089614057-X1/MDP.DLL.html.

If it has been sent to the chest then it can do no harm there, you can confirm that it is no longer in the original location. Also check the Infected Files section of the chest to ensure it was sent there. It is also seen as part of another infection, so it is worth running the tools suggested above to see if they can find any associated files, etc.
