I am new here and I am totally ignorant about computers, the internet and defense systems like Avast!. I have had really good results with Avast!. My problem is in the last week whenever I contact just one website that I frequently go to Avast! identifites a trojan horse there. I, of course, instantly have it stopped by Avast!. But it never goes away, ever time I go back to the same website, it all starts over. So far as I can tell, my computer is not infected and Avast! is doing its job. I have contacted the website administrator and he says they can’t find the problem and apparently, I am the only one who has the continuing threat of the trojan horse.
Help! Can any of you tell me what I can do or not do to solve this?
What does LinkScanner say about the address?
freewheelinfrank,
According to LInkScanner, that website does have such a varmint, but LinkScanner, I found out to my surprise, has three of them that Avast! had to stop. So I don’t think I want to go back to that place. Check it out for yourself. Also, is it possible to stop such a thing from happening every time you go to that site?
Pass on the results of the scan to the web site owner: there is obviously a problem s/he is not aware of.
Can you post an edited link to that site (something like hxxp:\)
Can you test it against: http://online.drweb.com/?url=1
Read the post, Tech: it’s a problem with a website. :
